Jonathan Huberman

President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board

Jonathan Huberman, Nogin’s President and Co-Chief Executive Officer, has over 25 years of high-tech business leadership experience. He was previously the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Software Acquisition Group Inc. I, II and III, all blank check companies.  Software Acquisition Group Inc. III merged with Nogin in August 2022.  His previous two SPACs merged with Otonomo Technologies Ltd., a cloud-based software provider, and CuriosityStream, a global streaming media service that provides factual content on demand.

From 2017 to 2019 Mr. Huberman was Chief Executive Officer of Ooyala, a provider of media workflow automation, delivery and monetization solutions, He sold Ooyala’s three core business units to Invidi Technologies, Brightcove (Nasdaq: BCOV) and Dalet (EPA: DLT), major players in the same sector. Previously, Mr. Huberman served as the Chief Executive Officer of Syncplicity, a SaaS enterprise data management company, which he sourced and acquired from EMC and engineered an exit to Axway (EPA: AXW). Prior to this, from 2013 to 2015, Mr. Huberman was the Chief Executive Officer of Tiburon, an enterprise software company serving the public safety sector, which he sold to Tritech Systems, and before that he was the Chief Executive Officer at Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a consumer and distributed enterprise storage solutions provider. After Iomega was acquired by EMC Corporation in 2008, Mr. Huberman served as President of the Consumer and Small Business Division of EMC. 

In addition to his experience leading these technology companies, Mr. Huberman spent nine years as an investor for the Bass Family interests where he led investments in private and public companies. He also had senior roles leading the operations of the technology investments of the Gores Group and Skyview Capital.  Mr. Huberman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Shahriyar Rahmati

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Shahriyar Rahmati has over twenty years of experience in various C-Suite roles across several industries and has held operating executive positions at private equity firms in the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, he served as COO of RugsUSA, an ecommerce retailer of home décor products, which he led during a time of significant growth. Prior to his role at RugsUSA, Rahmati was a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at Comvest Partners, a mid-market private equity firm focused on consumer, healthcare, and business services investments. Before that, he was a principal at The Gores Group where he supported the execution and post-acquisition management of companies concentrated in the technology, media, and telecom sectors. Rahmati was also previously an operating partner at Graham Partners, where he supported and hired CFOs across the portfolio and held several interim CFO and COO roles in various sectors. Prior to his time at Graham Partners, Rahmati was a key member of portfolio company transformation teams on behalf of leading private equity firms such as TPG Capital, Freeman Spogli and Hellman & Friedman. He began his career in Supply Chain and Finance at Solectron.

Geoff Van Haeren

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Geoffrey Van Haeren, Nogin’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, has over 22 years of experience in ecommerce. Mr. Van Haeren had been Nogin’s President since October 2020 and Chief Technology Officer since inception. Prior to joining Nogin, he served as the Chief Technology Officer for CAbi Clothing where he worked with the executive team to develop and deliver a next generation SAAS based MLM platform. From January 2006 to August 2009, Mr. VanHaeren served as the Vice President of Technology for Digital River. Prior to his tenure at Digital River, Mr. VanHaeren served as the Chief Technology Officer of Commerce5, where he co- founded the company. Mr. Van Haeren is qualified to serve on the Board due to his significant experience building and scaling e-commerce software as Nogin’s President and Chief Technology Officer and because, as a founder of Nogin, he is essential to the long-term vision of the Company.

Michael Lin

EVP of Finance and Operations

Michael Lin brings 25 years of finance and accounting experience in SaaS and technology companies to Nogin.  Prior to joining Nogin Michael was CFO and COO at Influential, the leading AI Influencer technology platform, where he helped grow and scale the company from $9M to $30M of revenue.  Prior to Influential Michael was CFO at Mavenlink where he led a $39M Series D round of funding from Goldman Sachs.  Michael has also been CFO of Cake Marketing (acquired by Constellation Software) Gehry Technologies (acquired by Trimble Navigation) and SVP of Finance and Strategic Planning at enterprise search company Fast Search and Transfer (acquired by Microsoft for $1.2B).  Michael holds a MBA, with distinction, from Babson College and a BBA from Hofstra University.

Jay Ku

EVP & Chief Commerce Officer

Over the past 16 years, Jay has built and managed ecommerce brands of all sizes -- both in-house and at agencies. Prior to joining Nogin, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing & Strategy at Leaf Group, a diversified digital media and ecommerce company reaching over 60MM people per month and generating over $200MM in annual revenue. During his time at Leaf Group, Jay oversaw branding, performance marketing, merchandising, creative, consumer insights, and strategic planning initiatives for its portfolio of brands including Society6, Saatchi Art, Well+Good, and Hunker. 

Previously, Jay has driven direct-to-consumer efforts for brands like Disney, Levi's, Whole Foods, Kenneth Cole, Athleta, Starbucks, Ulta, Puma, EILEEN FISHER, and Bose and built omni-channel strategies and campaigns that focused on capturing and leveraging first-party data in order to scale personalized customer journeys.

After Jay earned his degree in Government from Harvard, he was a professional cyclist -- racing internationally for what is now the Education First-EasyPost Professional Cycling Team as well as for the US National Team.

Rupert Bonham-Carter

Chief Revenue Officer

Bonham-Carter was most recently the director of global sales and partnerships at Shopify, where he headed up global sales teams, led global business development, built Shopify’s first sales development and systems integrator teams, and unified Shopify’s agency programs. Throughout his career, Bonham-Carter has built winning business relationships and teams, serving in leadership roles at IBM, Klipfolio and Cognos.
